Protecting your investment
Once the shell of the home is
completed, some clients feel that most of the work is done.
This may be how it appears because the structure is in place. However, the trim may be the hardest and
largest part of the project. It requires a great deal of skill
and creativity to get things
just right and made to last. If you plan on doing it yourself, we can assist by offering our consulting
services. This will save you a lot of headaches and time.
The interior trim of a log home /
log cabin is very important. It must match and
look as natural as possible. One owner described it as "Nature's Perfect Imperfection."
Our
carpenters have both rough and trim experience, so we are preparing for the finish trim during the rough
framing. This makes sure things are set up for a clean finish.
The
log shell manufacturers do such a nice job on the exterior, we
take the interior as our signature. Our finishing skills
can really make a difference.
Once
your log home or log cabin home is built, you will need to maintain
it with a stain that works with your wood to keep
it healthy and your structure sound.
At Merritt Construction we work with you
to find the best products in order to make your log home last a lifetime.
